A8 D4: without SFD2 check
According to the current compatibility check, the Audi A8/S8 D4 is not affected by SFD2/UNECE. You can directly select the D4 variant, provided the vehicle has the original air suspension.
A8 D5: for newer vehicles, consider SFD2
D5 vehicles up to early 2023 are generally compatible without an additional check. For model year 2024 and in some cases from mid-2023, SFD2/UNECE must be excluded. PR code NI0 is considered uncritical; NI1, NI7, NI8, and NI9 must be checked before purchase.
How the low stance is achieved
- Connect DropIT! V1 to the OBD interface.
- The process starts automatically.
- First the front axle, then the rear axle is lowered.
The brake is not required for the process. A short tap on the brake can additionally stop the lowering of the currently active axle.
For show, shooting and garage
DropIT! V1 is not a permanent lowering module for driving. It is a compact, removable solution that uses the original A8 technology to achieve a significantly lower look when stationary.
